Doggie Double Competition

In partnership with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, we launched the #DoggieDouble initiative – to create the UK’s largest gallery of pets who look like their owners! We asked the public to share their ‘Doggie Doubles’ and ‘Kitty Clones’ with us on social media by using the hashtag #DoggieDouble

All pets, from dogs, cats and hamsters, to birds and fish… and even reptiles, were invited to join in the fun – the only rule is that they needed to be a dead ringer for their owner, or vice versa!

To celebrate our new range of Battersea nametags, we teamed up with dotcomgiftshop.com to give away a bundle of goodies worth £100 to one lucky entrant!  The prize included products from dotcomgiftshop’s pet accessories range – fun and colourful bandanas, collars, leads, and even socks for pets!

Competition winner (002)

The winner, Phill Worboys (above), was the entrant who had received the most votes by our Monday 13th November 2017 deadline.

We didn’t have the heart to throw away all of the lovely photos that we received, so please see a selection of them in our gallery below! Whilst the competition has now closed, if you would like to have your photo included in our gallery then please don’t hesitate to send them over to us at marketing@mynametags.com

WHY WAS THE DOGGIE DOUBLE INITIATIVE BEEN LAUNCHED?

We launched the initiative to show our support of the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home charity and the incredible work that the team there does for animals. The charity has taken care of more than three million animals since it launched in 1860. It now cares for over 7,000 animals every year. The core mission of the charity is to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help and we hope this fun initiative will remind people of the important work that the charity does.
